is it possible to read the existing memory of the /usr partition and send an alarm at a certain size?

You can use the script :
SETSYS INF,"LOAD"
UsrFreeSize$ = GETSYS INF, "DskUsrFree"
PRINT UsrFreeSize$
to read the remaining /usr size (In KB)
