Hi, have anyone successfully connecting Ewon Flexy module with Ignition SCADA. Ewon Flexy as a OPC UA server, then added the OPC UA connection to Ignition SCADA so that i can view the tags from Ignition SCADA. Seems like im having a problem with the security certificate. I "trust" the certificate from Ewon flexy in Ignition (also in Ewon, certificate from Ignition) and appears in the trusted certificate section but Ewon keep on sending the same certificate again and again despite being "trusted".. ignition shows a status of "Connection closed". thanks

Hi,
Actually, the version 7.x of Ignition does not seem to give a way to trust the partner certificate (here Ewon certificate).
I have installed Ignition 8.0.2 and there you have a menu where you can trust custom certificates.
So, here are the steps :
- Enable OPCUA Server in Ewon Flexy (System > Main > OPCUA
- Declare your OPCUA connection in Ignition, with encryption. (OPC Client > OPC Connections --> Choose Sign & Encrypt, BASIC256SHA256)
- Refresh the OPCUA Settings of Flexy and trust the Ignition certificate (Right-click and click "trust" and update)
- Then download the Flexy OPCUA certificate on your PC

- Go to Ignition > OPCUA > Security and update it in Ignition

- The connection should then work

(29-07-2019, 04:45 PM)Hi Simon,I was going through your steps but I am receiving a fault on my OPC Client Connection in Ignition. Are you using Ignition\s default 62541 port or the Ewon Flexy 4840 port when trying to connect the Discovery and Endpoint URL on Step 2? Wrote: Hi,

Hi,
You must use the port 4840.

Thanks, for some reason it still doesn't like the Discovery and Endpoint URL. It gives me a time out message on Ignition. I am using the VPN IP address of the Ewon for my URL. I attached the Ignition and Ewon

Ewon OPCUA.PNG (Size: 63,63 KB / Downloads: 28)
Ignition OPCUA.PNG (Size: 25,49 KB / Downloads: 35)
Ewon OPCUA.PNG (Size: 63,63 KB / Downloads: 28)
setup for reference.

What if you remove the /discovery from your URL ?
Also have you tried via the advanced settings ? In this case, you skip the discovery.
