Hi Guys,
I guess some of you have already faced the situation where you have to connect two LAN networks remotely and you were told that it is not possible, not easily at least (Actually you could do it with an extra router on the LAN and by adding an extra route to the PC).
What I propose instead is to use a USB/Ethernet adapter from your choice that you gonna connect to the Ewon Cosy USB port, like this one

In this case, eCatcher will simply detect a new USB device accessible remotely.
If you click "Connect" your PC will be connected to this new IP network as if the USB/Ethernet adapter was plugged directly to the PC.

This solution looks quite sexy for me as the PC will even be in the same network as the remote device, so we may hope to get less troubles with devices requiring broadcasting or bridging.

Here we can see that I can connect a Flexy connected to my USB/Ethernet adapter and I can even see it with eBuddy (that uses UDP broadcast packets)

However, I guess that you may have a slower connection as the USB encapsulation may add some delay.
I have just tested a ping and the ping time was the same though the USB/IP and outside the USB/IP...
Please share your point of view or experiences :-)
