Change memory organization on flexy 201 - vangorpia - 07-01-2026
Hi,
How can I change the memory allocation on an existing project for a flexy 201?
When I change the memory configuration a complete format of the Ewon is done.
If you restore your project (with eBuddy) your memory setting is back to the original. (which in a way make sense).
So can I make a backup, then change the memory configuration with a complete format and reboot, after that update the "Memorg" parameter to the desired setting in the comcfg.txt file of the backup and then put the backup back?
Or is there a better way to do this?

Hi,
You need to delete two lines in your backup's config.txt file before restoring. See the end of this documentation.

The document you send works probably fine for the string-tags setting changes, but the memory allocation is set back to the original setting.
I want to know that if I change the "Memorg" value in the comcfg.txt this will change the memory allocation or that there are more parameters to be changed.
Thanks

Of course I forget the main thing, "MemOrg" must be equal to the new value in your backup.
REM [1: usr/29MB & Record size 6MB | 2: usr/21MB & Record size 14MB | 5: usr/16MB & Record size 19MB]
MemOrg:1
You will need to restart the system for this to take effect.
