OPC-UA WAN side - n.maclean@eandr.com - 07-12-2020 Hello, I've been experimenting with the OPC-UA server in a Flexy 205 and I can get it to work OK on the LAN side but the setup documentation implies that it should be available on the WAN side. Guide On the LAN side, I can connect to opc.tcp://IP_Address:4840. I have tried both WAN address and VPN address but cannot connect to either. Am I missing something? Nick RE: OPC-UA WAN side - simon - 07-12-2020 Hi Nick, Two things I am thinking about : - Are you running the latest firmware version 14.3 - Regarding the WAN, have you unprotected it ? You need to set the WAN protection level to "Allow all" (and reboot the Ewon) Simon RE: OPC-UA WAN side - n.maclean@eandr.com - 08-12-2020 Hi Simon, Thanks for your reply. The device I'm testing is on Firmware 14.2 so I can update that as it is attached to an R&D machine. As for the "Allow All" option, I did look at that and it wouldn't be my first choice for security reasons but may worth considering. Nick RE: OPC-UA WAN side - simon - 08-12-2020 If you want to make the OPCUA Server accessible over the WAN port, it is mandatory to set it to "Allow all". Simon |
