pfSense TLS Error: local/remote TLS keys are out of sync - Superduper - 10-09-2020

I'm currently working on testing out pfSense as a replacement for eFive.
I have followed your guide on “How to setup pfSense to act as OpenVPN server for Ewon devices”, and everything seems to work well.
However, I have noticed that I get a lot of TLS error in the OpenVPN logfile.
This is the error I get “TLS Error: local/remote TLS keys are out of sync”. I have checked that the time settings are the same on the clients and server.
The clients I’m using are Flexy 201 and Flexy 202.

If I connect computers to pfSense over VPN, I don’t get any TLS error. This makes me wonder if this issue is related to the Flexy-units configuration?

Hi,

We did not face this problem during our test
Do you manage to connect the Ewons or not ? I mean the Ewon connects properly and after a while, you get this message ?

Yes, I manage to connect the Ewon's. Everythings seems to work just fine, but I was just wondering why I get so many TLS error?

As far as I understand Ewon does not use TLS as long as User + Auth mode is selected in the OpenVPN server?

Hi Superduper,

Is you setup still working fine ?
About your TLS error, have you read this https://forum.netgate.com/topic/113174/tls-error-local-remote-tls-keys-are-out-of-sync/7 ?
